Red Blooded Women

Kylie Minogue - Red Blooded Women

All been well at the moment I'm out stuffing my face for a friends birthday, I can't wait to give her her presents I got her the cutest little ornaments in London, a bird and owl, should you wonder.

At the weekend I was feeling really brave and signed up to give blood, it's something I've wanted to do for a while but I've been put off by the fact I'm a bit of a fainter. Neither blood nor needles bother me but if I get light headed I'll faint, it runs in the family. I wanted to go with a friend for this reason but it's never been convenient for the friend in question to come with me, plus we were looking at donating nearer to her house which would mean it's further for me to get home.....not a good thing!
I looked at the weekend where I could donate closer to home and was very surprised to find about 5 places within just a few miles from my house.....no excuse now then!
I've now signed up and I've got an appointment for the 9th of August.....arghhhh!!!
I'm sure you've all seen advertisements, to get more people to donate coming up to the olympics, so I just wanted to give you all an extra push, you never know who you might be helping and if I, as a fainter, can do it I'm sure you can too :-)

Now At Last

Feist - Now At Last

I wore this outfit for coming home from London.

Dress, H&M.
Belt, Vintage Levi's
Cardigan, Present from OG.
Watch, Avon.

I wasn't too sure about this cardigan when OG first got me it, it's not my normal style or colour but I really like it with this outfit.

I got paid yesterday so could help but browse shops online last night......I need to buy something!!! I'm torn between clothes/accessories, CD's or jewellery making stuff, for now I'm resisting but I know it won't be long until I give in.

Boooom, Blast & Ruin

Biffy Clyro - Boooom, Blast & Ruin

Just a quick post today, I need to go do my exercisers but it's just too damn hot at the moment!

Leggings, Primark.
Shirt, Vintage C&A.
Wedges, Primark.
Cardigan, Shop in Camden (must fine the name)
Bag, H&M.
Watch, Avon.
Ring, Doroth Perkins.

Only the one photo today, I'm guessing we were in a rush this evening.

I got these leggings for Halloween last year (I went as a dead lion, as you do) I bought this pair as I liked them and thought I'd wear them again but then realised if I had intentions of wearing them again then wearing them at Halloween wasn't the best idea. This was actually their first outing, I like how they look but think they're too pale for me to wear without heels.

Ancient History

Cribs - Ancient History

Whilst in London we planned on going to the zoo but as the weather wasn't great we decided to go to the Natural History Museum. I took hundreds of photos, which I won't bore you with unless you want to see them? I took them mainly for my little sister as she loves anything to do with animals or dinosaurs.

Dress & T-Shirt, H&M.
Boots, Peacocks.
Belt, Vintage Levi's.
Watch, Avon.
Cardigan, Shop in Camden.
Denim shirt, International.

Both the dress and cardigan were bought in London, the cardigan was a bargain at only £3 (plus the shop had buy 4 items get one free - I got a dress and 3 skirts as well as this cardigan - I'm wearing one of the skirts today so will share this with you soon) the colours gorgeous and it fits/hangs perfectly.
The dress was also a bargain at £7.99, they had several colours which I can't remember now I also bought one in orange and black, not normally colours I would go for but something drew me to it. I could easily go back and buy every colour, it's certainly a bargain at £7.99!!!

Beat It

Michael Jackson - Beat It

I wore this outfit one evening in London........I think it was to go see Shrek, which was ace!

Skirt, Belt & Pumps, Primark.
Top, H&M.
Cardigan, Present.
Watch, Avon.

I bought both the t-shirt and skirt in London and love both items, the top was on sale at £5, they had quite a few styles to choose from, I also got a purple patterned one.
The skirt is not supposed to be high waisted but this is where I'd choose to wear any skirt, which is a good job because been short it would be too long otherwise.

I wore the cardigan as I didn't really have any other options and it was cold.
I'd rather wear this outfit with a red belt but again I used what was available, I wore pastel green pumps to tie in the belt and to rest me feet, I also bought the pumps in London and I've worn them so much already.

So this outfit is nothing like it would have been if I styled it at home, but I still love it! I think it's great that having limited items to play around with you come up with new outfits.

Are you all having a good weekend in the sun?
I had a very productive morning, up early exercising and pampering then I walked into our village for a bit of charity shop browsing and obviously buying I'll share what I bought shortly.

Double Bass

Gorillaz - Double Bass

This dress may look familiar.
For our second day in London I wore the same dress as the first but in green. I loved it that much I had to get it in both colours.

Dress, Primark.
T-Shirt, H&M.
Books, Peacocks.
Belt, Vintage Levi's.
Watch, Avon.
Denim Shirt, International.

I also wore this dress one evening.........change shoes and belt, remove denim shirt and add jewellery, sorted.
Belt, Primark.
Wedges, Evans.
Bag, H&M.
Ring, Dorothy Perkins.
Bracelets, Primark and Debenhams.

I imagined my input into the pastel trend would begin and end at accessories but I've actually embraced it more then I'd expect.......this belt was love at first site, I mentioned before I love belts with bows

Woohoo it's the weekend and my tonsilitis appears to be making an exit!
Hope you all have a great weekend, what are your plans?

Disappear

Beyonce - Disappear

Hey I'm back from London and had a fab time as I always do in the capital and with my mother.
We actually got back last Wednesday but I got home unpacked then packed again to house sit with OG, practise for living together....I learnt he needs a lot of training, men eh?!?!?!
So that's why I accidentally had another break from blogging. I'll probably blog more over then weekend then I do normally I don't normally blog at weekends as OG is now on holiday for a week and I'm skint from London.....bring on pay day!

This outfit is what I wore to travel down to London.
The day we went the weather was pretty nice but the weather forecast wasn't great so deciding what to take was hard work.

Dress & Shirt, Primark.
T-Shirt, H&M.
Boots, Peacocks.
Belt, Vintage Levi.
Necklace, Blog Giveaway.

Above rings, Matalan
Below rings, Dorothy Perkins.

I love the stacking rings from Matalan. I first saw them online in the Topshop sale but they had sold out. I hate it when you click on something in the sale and it's sold out......just remove it!
I was very shocked to find these in Matalan, OG hated them, I think he called me weird, but I persuaded him they were ace and that everyone must agree as this was the last set. I then moved to the next jewellery stand and saw loads........so I quickly made my way to the tills.
Matalan have some great jewellery in, a good mix of all styles, I think I need to pop back soon and I'm also thinking of buying the same again as a present for a friend.

After dragging our case about last year we decided to pack light this time. I took outfits which all went with brown so I could use the same cover ups and boots for day and wedges for evening. I was quite proud of how little I packed (it did help that I knew I'd buy loads whilst in London) but my mum did rubbish so our case was still bursting.

I'm going to pop off now, I've got tonsillitis again so rest and plenty of fluids are in need.
